'Tis the Season to be Busy!
Many of you have probably seen that the shops have been stocking Christmas goodies for a while now, some of which didn't even wait for Halloween to be over! We like the changing of the seasons at The Making Place as it allows us to focus on the season ahead; displaying new handmade items, tailoring workshops and gifts to the time of year and looking at sparkly things (a bit like magpies!). Most crafters who sell their makes start planning for Christmas in June, but that's a bit too far in advance for us!
We were at the Ugley Farmer's Market in October and we are signed up again for November and December. It's held on the 3rd Saturday of the month at Ugley Village Hall, 10-12. Follow their Facebook page (facebook.com/UgleyVillageHall) and The Making Place on Facebook and Instagram for a reminder nearer the time.

Also, it's time to book ourselves in for Christmas Markets in the local area - a perfect opportunity to display our Christmas goodies. We are signed up to run a craft stall, as well as selling our own handmade items, at the Elsenham Christmas Fair on Saturday 26th November. It'll be running 3-7pm - please come over and say hi. If you mention that you read this blog, there may be a gift waiting for you!
Keep an eye open on social media and sign up to our newsletter (really not that often!) for more up-to-date info. And please get in touch - we would love to hear from you!
